Money In The Bank: Why You Need A Fundraising Plan

Running a successful fundraising operation requires detailed planning in order to succeed. Below are a few reasons why a detailed fundraising plan is critical for each and every fundraising campaign.

A Fundraising Plan:

Provides Organization. Acts as working guideline that creates order.
Sets Deadlines. Tells you when you need the money.
Provides Credibility. Shows donors the financials that prove the effort can be a success.
Acts as a fundraising tool. Shows why you need the money. Shows that you are serious about the effort.
Defines Responsibility/ Provides Accountability Determines who does what. Holds them to that.
Measures progress. Necessary adjustments can be made before it is too late.

Begin developing your fundraising plan today. It should include a complete list of expenses, the dollar amount that it will take meet those expenses, a plan for raising the funds to meet that dollar amount, and finally, a timeline showing when you need to raise the money, when expenses will occur, and when fundraising activities are planned.

Email Attendees

We recently launched a new tool that allows you to email your attendees from within Fundraiser7. No longer do you have to export your attendee list and import it into an email program to update them on your upcoming event. Simply login to Fundraiser7 and go to your main admin page. Under each event you will find the option to email your attendees.

Printable Tickets

When making an online purchase, it is important to allow the purchaser to walk away with something tangible that he or she can file away or pin to the refrigerator. Why? Because it makes the buyer feel secure that the transaction is complete and that proof of the purchase is readily available. When buying tickets online, the need for this process is especially apparent, since buyers oftentimes need to show their tickets before entering most events. Well, such a feature is now available, as we recently rolled out our printable tickets option for all Fundraiser 7 events!

Discount Codes

Let’s say you are hosting a special promotion that is intended to drum up interest in your event or gathering. What sort of incentives can you offer to those who go the extra mile with participation? How about a discount on ticket prices? Whatever your reason, you are now able to offer tickets at a discounted price for special attendees. When setting up your event on Fundraiser 7, just type in the code people will need to enter, and then provide this code to those whom the discount is intended.
